Dr. Daniel Carrig
Hospital Director & Owner
Born and raised in Buffalo's historic Old First Ward, just a few miles from the hospital. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Carrig spent many years working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the local area before completing his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University in April 2015.
After completing a yearlong clinical year at the University of Georgia, Dr. Carrig joined McClelland's. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, parasitology, and client education. He is thrilled to be returning to his beloved city and continuing the legacy of McClelland Small Animal Hospital as its new owner.
Dr. Carrig resides in Hamburg with his wife, Taylor, and their two children, Camden and Avery. They share their home with a Pomski named Wade, a Corgi named Chico, and a medium-haired cat named Palin. Dr. Carrig enjoys watching almost any sport, but football and the Buffalo Bills hold a special place in his heart. When he's not at work, he can be found playing golf, basketball, or simply enjoying his time as a father.
